However, Ushio didn’t find a solution immediately. Years of research and experimentation followed. This light became known as Far-UVC.

Far-UVC wavelengths range between 200–230 nm. After extensive testing, 222 nm was selected as the optimal wavelength. At the same time, Ushio patented a unique lens technology called Care222, which ensures that Far-UVC light always remains within a safe wavelength range.

Many questions remained, and research continued. These studies further confirmed that Far-UVC is indeed safe for humans, animals, and plants.
